President 2023-2024
Lilly Murphy
Lilly has been a proud FFA member since her freshman year. She quickly found a community within the organization, where she built lifelong friendships and developed into a strong leader. Lilly was highly involved in chapter activities, state and national conventions, and leadership opportunities that helped her discover her true passion.
In her junior year, Lilly realized her heart was in teaching and serving others through agriculture. This inspired her to pursue a degree in agricultural education with a concentration in animal science. She is now a sophomore at North Carolina State University and looks forward to becoming an agriculture educator in North Carolina.
Lilly’s dedication, kindness, and leadership have left a lasting mark on our chapter. We are so proud of her and cannot wait to see the impact she will make as a future educator.

Secretary 2022-2024
Gabrielle Nelson
Gabrielle Nelson joined FFA because of her deep love for animal science, especially her passion for working with equine. Throughout her time in the organization, she found a place where she could grow, challenge herself, and build meaningful connections. FFA quickly became the foundation where she developed confidence and professionalism, skills she carried with her into college.
Gabrielle is now an International Studies major at Appalachian State University, where she continues to work with horses on the side. Her experiences in FFA, from public speaking and event planning, have shaped her into a strong communicator and leader.
Gabrielle’s dedication, drive, and commitment to learning have left a lasting impact on our chapter. We are incredibly proud of all she has accomplished and look forward to seeing the impact she will continue to make in her field and community.

Sentinel 2024-2025
Cooper Christie
Cooper has been an FFA member since his freshman year. His involvement in the program grew when he competed in the Agricultural Mechanics CDE and completed his SAE project working at Atwell Farms. He remained active by attending both State and National conventions with our chapter, always representing us with pride.
It was during his senior year that Cooper discovered his passion for leadership. He stepped into an officer role and played a key part in helping our chapter grow and flourish. His kind and hardworking personality has been evident throughout his time in FFA, and he has dedicated himself to our program in many ways.
Cooper is now pursuing a career in welding, and we are so proud of all that he has accomplished. He has made countless memories with our chapter, and his impact will continue to be felt for years to come.
