Welding Shop
The South Iredell Agricultural Mechanics Department gives students practical experience that prepares them for careers and everyday problem-solving. In the school’s welding shop, students learn skills such as stick and MIG welding, oxygen-acetylene cutting, and grinding. With guidance from experienced instructors, they focus on safety, accuracy, and applying their knowledge to real projects, including equipment repair and fabrication. In addition to technical skills, students develop teamwork, responsibility, and a strong work ethic. The program not only teaches a trade but also helps students build confidence and a foundation for future opportunities in agriculture, mechanics, and engineering.
