Welding Shop

The South Iredell Agricultural Mechanics Department provides hands-on opportunities that equip students with lifelong skills. In the school’s welding shop, students gain experience with arc/stick welding, MIG welding, oxygen-acetylene cutting, and grinding. Guided by skilled instructors, they learn precision, safety, and problem-solving while working on real-world projects like repairing machinery. Beyond technical training, the program fosters teamwork, creativity, and a strong work ethic. More than just learning a trade, welding at South Iredell empowers students to turn raw materials into something useful while building bright futures in agriculture, mechanics, and engineering.
